If there is one thing we know better than anything else, it’s how to tinker with something until it becomes just the way we envisioned. In a context like this, you can’t really find an end to our imagination, as our bag of different permutations continues to deliver without fail. Sometimes, these nonstop variations packaged together with our own inventive nature can also lead us to a point that’s way ahead from where we were initially trying to go. A popular by-product of such a scenario is technology. We didn’t straight away put-together a bid to make our generation entirely tech-driven, but once the benefits of such an idea became apparent, we had to hop onboard. Nevertheless, our tendency to keep striving for something better remained very much in place even when technology had established itself as a resolute force, hence we dutifully took on an assignment to uncover what all other things this ingenious creation had to offer. One of the many landscapes it promised to change belonged to the healthcare industry. At the time, the sector looked in desperate need of a fix, but technology wasn’t there just to stop the bleeding. Soon enough, we saw the formulation of medtech, and since then, things have been firmly set on an upwards trajectory. Now, as a part of this revolution, the healthcare sector is poised for the next step, and this one will be realized through an amalgamation of two major forces.
Caption Health and Ultromics have officially announced a strategic partnership, which will see them actively working to enhance cardiovascular disease detection and treatment. The core intention here is to bring their successful platforms in Caption AI and Ultromics EchoGo together and create one comprehensible advanced diagnostic system that will be available to a wider group of medical professionals. It becomes easy to see the significance of such a setup when you learn about all the problems that currently surround cardiac healthcare. For instance, according to a recent study, over 46% of heart failure patients in US had symptoms for six months before the medical check-ups were able to reveal anything. Hence, a possibility of accelerating this detection can save many lives over the long-term.
“With the combination of Ultromics’ enhanced analysis and Caption AI, providers will be able to capture images earlier and get more out of those images, maximizing benefits for patients. Together, we’ll help drive the move to earlier detection and diagnosis of cardiac disease in patients,” said Steve Cashman, President and CEO of Caption Health.
Both Caption Health and Ultromics are already well-known for their efforts in elevating the floor of cardiac care. While Caption Health has put its stock in AI to improve elements like cardiac ultrasound, Ultromics has been consistently making life easy for many professionals by delivering automated analysis across a variety of cardiac related parameters.
The companies are planning to launch the new system next year on Butterfly iQ+ platform.
