Our lives, at their core, are a compilation of different horizons. These horizons are weaved together from an individual’s constantly evolving take on everything, therefore in a way, they can be deemed as a mirror to our overall growth. Now, if you assess yourself through this mirror, you’ll probably find the traces of change here and there, but one thing we often fail to acknowledge is what triggered the said changes. It’s barely a secret that any substantive change requires at least some level of stimulation from the external forces. For instance, we can look at all the modifications, which have occurred across human society over the years, with most recent, and honestly the most impactful, one being technology. Technology arrived on the back of a growing need to be more efficient in whatever we do. The creation would steer us to that goal and beyond, scaling up the entire spectrum in the process. While, as indicated, there have been many beneficiaries to emerge from the tech revolution, few saw themselves transforming so drastically like the medical sector. By placing cutting-edge tech principles within our global healthcare system, we were able to dislodge outdated approaches and that really set the stage for a larger shift in the tide. Today, we are much more in the knowing about human health than we were ever before, and yet we continue to find new ways to further bolster the discipline’s partnership with technology. In fact, a recent announcement from President Biden does a lot to validate this intention.
Biden Administration has officially revealed the plans to make over 500 Covid 19 test kits available through a website. The announcement comes after US witnessed a scary uptick in Omicron cases. According to certain reports, enhanced test kit availability is only a part of the bigger plan. Apart from it, US government is also actively working with Google to help Americans in finding testing locations around them. It’s a move you’d think will make people feel better about the situation, except many of them are not even sure whether the website will materialize at any point. The doubt is largely inspired from all the false promises dished out last year by Former President, Donald Trump. However, there are legitimate reasons to feel different about the latest measures. Unlike last year, we have concrete evidence that supports the existence of a project, as Google has already come out to confirm the collaboration.
“We’re constantly making improvements to the COVID information we provide on Search and Maps. We recently made an update that added info about thousands more free testing sites, and have been working with the administration and government agencies on these efforts,” said Lara Levin, Google spokesperson.
