A New Way to Take Care of Your Health

It is one thing to go out looking for a change in life, but knowing how to make a productive use of it is even more valuable. Now, if we talk about humans’ track record in the latter category, it’s going to make for very mixed story.  While we have, to this day, wasted many great opportunities, we have also gone on to enjoy some really big breakthroughs, with the biggest of them all, of course, being technology. Technology’s high stature in our lives is largely driven by how the creation has used its universality for scaling up the entire spectrum. When you have a dynamic like that running the show, there will always be numerous beneficiaries to emerge from it, and yet what technology has done for our global healthcare system remains unmatched in every imaginable sense. Before the birth of medtech, the medical sector’s reputation among people was anything but satisfactory. With outdated methods and laborious treatments, the industry was literally just hanging by a thread. Fortunately, though, that’s not the case anymore. We are currently witnessing a brand of medical care that caters to our need of convenience without making any sacrifices on the efficiency front. This was backed up once again recently in a study done by Mayo Clinic.

According to a Mayo Clinic study, Limber Health digital exercise therapy app has actually achieved more efficiency in terms of reducing patients’ pain and discomfort than any in-person physical therapy. Building upon that success, the platform is now officially incentivizing the therapy providers by turning the service reimbursable. Interestingly enough, it was Limber who actively championed the idea of approving billing codes for Remote Therapy Monitoring. The company’s founders view at as an important step towards making digital therapy mainstream. Limber is basically a HIPAA-compliant platform, which works towards relieving musculoskeletal (MSK) pain in patients through exclusively-curated exercise programs. Hosting more than 100 pre-built, progressive protocols for conditions, including regenerative, surgical, maintenance, nonsurgical etc, the platforms puts every option at the provider’s disposal, while they create a customized home care plan for the patient.

Once the plan is in action, you can also access a patient-reported outcome measures’ (PROMs) feature so to keep your therapist informed about your progress at each step.

“While many MSK apps focus on a digital only approach, the Limber Health value-based care model delivers a high touch therapy experience in partnership with provider groups, combining in-clinic care and digital at-home tools. Limber Health works with payers and providers on an at-risk model based on patient outcomes and episode savings,” said Marc Gruner, chief medical officer and co-founder of Limber Health.
