Named Rapid PE Triage & Notification, the system works in collaboration with the company’s Rapid Workflow for PE. It uses a real-time notification setup to empower the physicians in terms of making sure that the patient is receiving timely care, a feature that becomes all the more critical once you realize PE alone kills over 100,000 people in the US each year. In case the number isn’t staggering enough, you also have to consider the disease’s volatile nature. As per the CDC, sudden death is one of the most prevalent systems when it comes to PE, therefore quick identification in this context can genuinely save many lives.
