Even though all the species to walk the earth have shown a knack of being solution-oriented, it’s the human creativity in particular that stands out. Unlike other species, we aren’t just looking to solve the problem. Instead, our focus also remains on doing it in the most convenient manner possible. Over the years, this tendency to look for a simplified methodology has delivered a ton of benefits to us, however despite the huge volume; nothing even comes close to technology. It feels crazy that technology started out as a mere tool to enhance convenience across a selective assortment of activities, but that was pretty much the initial idea. Soon, though, it would dawn upon us that we were only using a tiny portion of what this creation had in the tank as far as value was concerned. Hence, we decided to go big by carving out a more important role for technology in different areas, which included essential sectors like healthcare. Now, for a sector that had stayed within the old ways for longer than the appropriate amount, it was hard to trust a transformed setup. After all, medical care isn’t something that you can just play around with until you gain a sense of belief, but fortunately, the structure of this unadventurous thought-process loosened up a little as we moved forward. The sector was gradually able to find that tech identity, and once it got there, everything we had done in the previous era of healthcare paled in comparison to what we were doing now. As a result of it, the stock of MedTech has continuously grown in the recent times, with another bid to significantly bump it up just delivered by AdhereTech.
AdhereTech, a New York-based medtech company, has announced the creation of Aidia Smart Bottle, a device designed to increase medication compliance amongst the patients who are prescribed a consistent dosage plan. It achieves the said purpose by reminding the person about their dose through lights, audio alerts, and text messages. Formerly known as Smart Pill Bottle, the technology plays a big role in educating the user about how they can more actively manage their healing process.
Missing one dose here and there might seem like a small factor in the grand scheme of things, but it could very well decide the trajectory of your recovery, hence AdhereTech has provided the world with something that reads between the lines and closes a gaping hole in the field of healthcare. Furthermore, during a time when physical interactions between patients and the doctors are minimal, it becomes all the more important to have a tool of this sort that keeps you on track with the things.
When asked about Aidia Smart Bottle and all what it brings to the table, AdhereTech’s CEO, Chris O’ Brien responded by saying:
“The Aidia System is a proven, integrated, cloud-based technology-based solution that empowers patients and healthcare teams to achieve optimal medication success. We have data that shows, on average, our solution improves the duration of therapy by 26%, fill rates by 9% and dose-level adherence by 15% for some patient groups.”
To compliment the connected pill bottle, AdhereTech has also launched Aidia Digital Health System. The system works in conjunction with the bottle to create a more holistic pool of data that is structured not only as per the needs of the patient, but it also informs medical professionals about what factors are actually triggering the lack of medical compliance.
