The human arsenal is very well-known to be far reaching in its nature, and yet it doesn’t have anything more valuable than our tendency to improve under all possible circumstances. This tendency, in particular, has allowed us to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a major member of the stated group. The reason why technology has always enjoyed such an esteemed stature among people is down to its core set of offerings that were unique enough to usher us towards a significantly better reality. Nevertheless, if we were to look a bit deeper, it becomes clear how the whole runner was also inspired at length by the way we applied those skills across a real-world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, including a perfectly-timed appearance on our healthcare block. Technology’s foray into healthcare couldn’t have arrived at a better moment, as it came right when the sector was beginning to struggle against its obsolete structure. Fortunately, though, this reality went through a complete overhaul under the new regime, but even after achieving something so monumental, the all-new medtech concept will somehow just continue to produce all the right goods. This has only turned more and more evident on the back of our recent progression, and a newly-launched startup gives it every bit of chance to take up a bigger stake in our lives moving forward.
Redesign Health, a New York-based firm that is known for conceiving healthcare startups, has officially launched its latest brainchild in Motto, which offers a dedicated virtual care platform for people with autoimmune and chronic inflammatory conditions. According to certain reports, Motto’s platform is well-equipped to offer services, such as virtual appointments with rheumatologists, condition management services, and lifestyle coaching on its telehealth platform. Talk about how the whole thing works, you basically start out by sharing your symptoms so to get a clear diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is done, the patient is provided a personalized treatment plan that comes directly from the company’s clinical team of nurse practitioners, rheumatologists, and other physicians. Furthermore, in order to ensure a comprehensive healthcare experience, Motto offers every individual their own health coach, and a multidisciplinary care team. Hold on, there’s more. The platform even lets you manage your symptoms by leveraging tools specifically designed for tracking pain and fatigue, as well as measuring inflammation.
Talk about the lifestyle coaching aspect, it is, notably enough, built around seven key elements, including medication management, diet, physical activity, healthy coping, emotional wellness, sleep, and social support. Of course, all these ingredients are put-together on a case-by-case basis, thus giving every user a chance at being taken care of on a more granular level.
“We created Motto because the status-quo forces patients to wait months, if not years, to get adequate treatment from a rheumatologist. In the meantime, they carry the added burden of managing medications and making difficult diet and lifestyle changes all on their own. We believe our coordinated care model will help improve access and close important diagnostic gaps for primary care providers, improve quality of life and patient experience, and ultimately result in better outcomes for patients, providers, and the health system,” said Anuj Patel, CEO of Motto.
Although companies like Teladoc, PlushCare, Folx Health, and many others, have already made a presence for themselves in the virtual space, Motto is the first ever company that focuses on treating autoimmune conditions by combining in-network medical care with personalized lifestyle care.
At the moment, Motto is operating as a fee-for-service provider in Texas and California, but going by the available details, the company will be entering more markets soon.
