There might be a gazillion valuable elements in the human arsenal, but a closer look will reveal how nothing really helps us like our tendency to grow on a consistent basis. You see, when an individual is able to get better under every possible situation, they become more and more likely to hit upon some critical milestones along the way. The same is wholly evident in whatever we have achieved so far, with one piece of representation coming from an idea called technology. Technology’s emergence was such a pivotal moment in our history for reasons that run far deeper than its ingenious skill-set. To give you an example, these reasons are also predicated upon the manner in which the stated skills were executed, as that did a lot to give the creation a spectrum-wide presence. Now, a dynamic of this sort running the show can always go on to produce many different beneficiaries, and in this case, one of them is going to be our very own healthcare sector. In fact, technology couldn’t have entered the healthcare space at a better time, considering how badly the latter was struggling to hold up against an obsolete structure. The said reality will, of course, get turned on its head under technology’s stewardship. Nevertheless, even after giving healthcare a new lease of life, the creation will continue to bring all the right goods to the table. This, looking at recent collaboration, should only become a little stronger moving forward.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is officially partnering with Maven Clinic, a digital family health platform, to offer members an enhanced brand of family and maternity support. As per the agreed arrangement, all the members on BCBS’ membership roster can access Maven’s 24/7 virtual care by just logging on to the platform and confirming their membership. Once they have done so, they’ll be eligible to receive extensive clinical guidance from specialty providers ranging from obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation consultants to pediatric sleep coaches, and psychologists. Talk about the platform in question here, it offers three main programs, including family building, maternity, and parenting and pediatrics. In family building, you can expect resources for fertility treatment, preconception care, egg freezing, adoption and surrogacy. The maternity program plays upto its name and brings resources for prenatal and postpartum care, NICU support, and high-risk pregnancies. Lastly, we have the parenting and pediatrics program, which is designed for parents with children ages 1 through 10 in need of pediatric care. It provides parent coaching, as well as an uninterrupted support for all your special needs.
Maven’s platform, interestingly enough, also presents you with this care matching model that helps users in finding care advocates and virtual coaches based on identity, race, ethnicity, faith-based orientation, and LBGTQ status.
While conceiving better healthcare for the members is surely the centerpiece objective here, BCBS and Maven, through their partnership, also want to improve employee retention, productivity and healthcare costs for every employer out there.
“We want our members to have the easiest and most successful path to building a family,” said Aji Abraham, senior vice president of health plan business innovation and market solutions at BCBSM. “Starting or growing a family is one of the biggest decisions a person or family can make. There are cost factors to consider as well as the health for both parent and child. Positive outcomes are only possible by having access to the appropriate resources and care.”
