There are a ton of things that make human beings special, but nothing does the job quite like our tendency to grow on a consistent basis. We say it because this tendency, in particular, has already allowed us to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a major member of the stated group. Technology, since entering the mix, has enjoyed a significant presence in our lives, and it has done so on the back of its unprecedented skill-set. Now, while the stated skill-set would notably go on introduce us to all the possibilities that we couldn’t have imagined otherwise, the whole runner was also very much inspired by how we applied those skills in a real-world setting. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, including a well-timed appearance on our healthcare block. Technology’s linkup with healthcare was so perfect in regards to the timing, as it came right during sector’s struggle against its own obsolete structure. This reality was, of course, revamped under the new regime, but even after going that far, the famous medtech concept will just continue producing all the right goods. The same has only turned more and more apparent over the recent past, and a new partnership should do a lot to propel it forward.
Wysa, a leading provider of mental health services, has officially partnered with PlanSource to provide the latter’s network of employers with mental health benefits. Talk about Wysa a little more, it is known for providing the stated help through a dedicated app that is completely free to use. The app’s chatbot delivers cognitive behavioral health therapy and asks users open-ended questions about how they’re feeling. Taking their responses into account, the chatbot guides the user through different therapeutic techniques. Beyond the pre-constructed techniques, you can even use Wysa to connect with a licensed therapist. On the other hand, PlanSource has made a name for itself by helping employees in terms of shopping for benefits, enrollment, billing, while also bestowing several other resources. The company’s excellence in what does is wholly evident in its 5,000 customers-big clientele, which includes names like American Museum of Natural History, Indeed, and Krispy Kreme.
The two companies, in conjunction, are looking to build a referral-based partnership, an arrangement that means when companies go to PlanSource for mental health benefits, Wysa can be presented as a choice. Whereas the stated deal will help PlanSource in expanding its pool of benefits, it is expected to aid Wysa’s cause of reaching smaller employers.
“Historically, Wysa was available as a benefit to employees through large insurers, or directly to multinational companies as a proactive mental health measure to improve wellbeing of staff. Now, through this partnership, it will be possible for smaller teams to also offer Wysa as part of their employee benefits package and help make positive mental health and resilience an integral part of company culture,” said Ramakant Vempati, cofounder and president of Wysa.
