Surely, the human arsenal is pretty much known for its expansive nature, but despite the all-encompassing theme in play here, it doesn’t have anything more valuable than our tendency of getting better on a consistent basis. This tendency has notably allowed us to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology proving to be a major member of the stated squad. But why exactly technology enjoys such an esteemed stature among people? Well, the answer is predicated upon its unique skill-set, which introduced us to a reality that we couldn’t have imagined in our wildest dreams. Nevertheless, if you take up a closer look, it becomes clear how the whole runner was also inspired by the way we used the said skills across a real-world setting. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, including a very well-timed appearance on our healthcare block. Technology’s linkup with healthcare was so perfect in regards to the timing because it came right when the sector was beginning to struggle against its own obsolete structure. Fortunately, this reality went through a complete overhaul under the regime, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, the emerging medtech concept will somehow continue producing all the right goods. The same has only turned more and more evident over the recent past, and a new piece of funding should do a lot to keep that trend alive and kicking.
NeuroFlow, a Philadelphia-based provider of behavioral health integration software, has successfully secured over $25 million in growth capital. The round, which was led by SEMCAP Health, will fund the company’s to expand its sales, business development, and client success teams. Apart from it, the company is expected to dedicate a chunk of the funds towards product enhancement, while also supplementing its marketing budget. Founded back in 2016, NeuroFlow started out with an intention to make behavioral health an important part of our overall healthcare landscape. The company would get on the stated case by introducing a platform that is designed to help patients in detecting wide range of conditions, including anxiety and depression. Once the diagnosis is done, the platform then moves on to deliver at your disposal a set of personalized self-care activities, and in order to track the efficacy of these activities, it would even encourage you to keep a log of your mood and sleep patterns.
Now, NeuroFlow isn’t only company trying to preach a better medical infrastructure for mental health issues, as names like Concert Health and SilverCloud are also in the mix. However, the Philadelphia-based startup sets itself apart by combining patient engagement technology with decision support tools for clinical staff, and as a result, it produces a solution that hasn’t been conceived in any other place.
“There’s lots of point solutions. There’s been hundreds of thousands of apps related to mental health on the App Store, but they typically don’t connect to anyone on the care team side,” said Adam Pardes, co-founder and COO of NeuroFlow. “And then there’s different types of clinical decision support programs or services, but those typically don’t have a patient engagement or user engagement side, so what we do with that combination is pretty unique.”
At the moment, NeuroFlow is serving over 15 million customers, with the likes of US Department of Defense, Magellan Health, Trinity Health and Bozeman Health etc making its clientele.
